Responsibilities:

• Prepare meals aligned with dietary requirements for cardiovascular health and digestive care
• Monitor for symptoms such as dizziness, abdominal pain, breathlessness, and swelling, escalating concerns as needed
• Provide companionship, calm reassurance, and emotional support, including de-escalation of frustration or anxiety
• Encourage engagement in preferred activities such as reading and watching TV serials
• Maintain a clean, safe, and clutter-free home environment to reduce falls risk
• Keep accurate daily care logs and communication records
• Assist with appointments, family coordination, and transport arrangements as required
• Provide additional support recognizing the client’s caregiving role towards her husband, especially on weekends

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience working with elderly clients and managing chronic conditions including mobility and falls risk
• Ability to support reduced mobility and use of mobility aids
• Strong understanding of medication routines, health monitoring, and record-keeping
• Compassionate, patient, and calm approach, with experience managing occasional verbal frustration or aggression
• Excellent communication skills in Maltese and/or English
